Jing was created and released by TechSmith, an house software focused on everything captures what is passing on your screen. This application will appear with an interface which reproduces a sun on the top part of your screen. Its rays points the different features starting from the “Capture” one, which was conceived for the selection of the part f the screen you want to capture as a photograph or a clip.
Jing will proceed to capture and save everything you want. The two related extensions are the PNG one for the static saves and the Flash Swf for the videos. Inside it, clearly, it is included an editor conceived to modify everything you had virtually photographed with all the necessary controls to add arrows, underlines, etc…Everything you create through Jing it could be uploaded an shared on internet and particularly on Flickr or Screencast, and if you would like you can send it to a FTP server directly.
One of the much more curious elements of Jing is its funny and original interface. It is an application that you have to install on your personal computer, but it is not dedicated to professional or experienced users. The level of the output images in facts could be lower than the one offered by similar applications and it has few possibilities of settings of the output. In order to correctly run it you have to install .NET Framework 3.0 on your personal computer.
