Miranda IM is one of the best applications conceived for instant messaging. It is a client which is characterized by its small sizes and by the possibility to be customized in different elements thanks to its dedicated plug-ins. Moreover it supports a very large amount of protocols. It is for free.

If you have different accounts for instant messaging and if you have a personal computer with low performances it could be a dangerous mix. Instead if you install Miranda IM you could resolve this problem. This application is very light and it works with all the different protocols for instant messaging.

There is question: how it is possible that it is so light if it supports all these protocols? It’s easy: Miranda IM adds and removes protocols through dedicated plug-ins. This could make it flexible and quick. Just through these plug-ins it could be possible to customize this application even in its interface, in its main components and sounds. That is to say a flexibility usually not offered by all the similar applications.

Clearly Miranda IM is not a perfect application. It is an application developed by instant messaging lovers and, as it could happens in similar situations, all these extending plug-ins could create problems. Anyway it is an application that you have to try.
