Mozilla seems like it doesn’t want to stop: its attempt is to provide to the users many complete applications for free and which are developed with the open source logics. The last creation of this producer is Songbird. It is a multimedia player integrated in the web 2.0 logics.

Songbird is an application which tries to merge in one only service two of the most popular activities concerning the everyday personal computer’s employment: to surf the web and to listen to music. Thanks to this application you will be able to manage both activities through the same window and you will be also able to listen to web radios.

The user-friendliness of Songbird’s interface leaves no doubts: it is very useful and funny. You will find a lots of very interesting features, such as the possibility to use bookmarks and many other controls conceived to add user-generated contents. You will be also able to expand this application thanks to dedicated plug-ins that you could download (just clicking on the “Extra” button).

Songbird is a very young product and you could find many features it doesn’t offer but its open source logics are a great benefit and this applications has all the degrees to be improved. Differently from the previous editions, in facts, it has improved performances. It is surely an application that you have to try.
