Switch is an application dedicated to the conversion of audio files. It is a free application which assures you a very large amount of importing and exporting formats at the same time.

It could happen very frequently that you are in need to convert the format of your audio files. Maybe because you need to save space on your own hard-disk or because the format is not supported by the player you usually employ. So it could be necessary to have a converter and Switch could be the right one for you.

Switch is characterized by the fact it is very efficient, small-sized and very user-friendly. Through its simple interface, but with all the necessary features, Switch will allow you to make all the conversions with few clicks.

Once you drag and drop the audio file you like inside the converting window, you will only have to proceed with the operations telling to the application which is the output format you like. Moreover Switch will allow to choose the bitrate of the conversion.

At the first time Switch won’t offer to you a very large amount of formats but its strength is in its flexibility. In order to avoid that this application is charged of formats that could be not useful to you, its creators had thought that it is much more convenient to download them from the web anytime you need them, through specific plug-ins. So if you like to convert a file in a format not supported by Switch, you will only have to download the related plug-in.

You have to put your attention to the “Toolbox” and the “Convert Audio Stream” controls on the Switch’s interface: if you click on them you will start the installation of some other applications.


Switch requires one of the following operating systems: Windows 95/98/98 SE/ME/2000/NT/XP/2003.
